Stone-Goff Partners (“SGP”), a growth-oriented private equity firm focused on technology-driven business-to-business service companies, today announced the appointment of Kate Kline as Chief Executive Officer of SGP portfolio company MissionWired (the “Company”), a leading full-service digital agency and data provider that drives critical fundraising outcomes for non-profits and political campaigns. Kate succeeds Anne Lewis, who will assume the role of Chair of the MissionWired Board.
Anne founded the Company, then known as Anne Lewis Strategies, in 2007. She has led the Company through transformational growth during her period as CEO and, in the process, raised more than $4.5 billion of low-dollar, grassroots donations for its clients.
Kate has served as President of MissionWired since June 2023, helping nonprofits and campaigns grow revenue and build bigger communities across direct marketing channels, online and offline. Prior to assuming this role, Kate built an extensive background in client services at The Advisory Board Company and spearheaded a period of high growth at ZocDoc.
“In anticipation of this day, I took a long and deliberate search for a successor,” said Anne in a recent letter to the MissionWired community. “I’m thrilled to say I found the perfect CEO in Kate Kline. Kate has already made her mark, helping steer us to our best, most impactful year yet. MissionWired is stronger and more dynamic, built to be the best partner to our clients right now, but more importantly, positioned to continue to evolve and innovate what’s next.”
“We count ourselves as fortunate to have partnered with Anne and her team over the past three years,” said Hannah Stone Craven, Managing Partner at Stone-Goff Partners. “She has reshaped the fundraising landscape, built innovative new channels from scratch and expanded into new opportunities during her tenure as CEO. Her unwavering spirit of collaboration has made her a brilliant partner and we are grateful for her continued role as Chair of the MissionWired Board,” said Craven. “We have been thrilled to add Kate’s leadership to the organization and know that MissionWired is well-positioned for its next chapter.”
